KBC Networks and MicroTek Electronics Merge

KBC / MicroTek to Supply Fiber Optic and Wireless Transmission Range’ 
Lake Forest, California, May 8, 2008: KBC Networks Inc, a leading manufacturer of fiber optic transmission equipment for security and industrial control networks, has merged with MicroTek Electronics Inc., a manufacturer of wireless Ethernet, video, audio and data products. The deal promises to give both customer groups access to a wider product range and wider markets.
The combined company will be branded as KBC Networks with a portfolio of both fiber optic and wireless transmission products designed to link industrial networks and communications systems. Current MicroTek customers can expect the same level of support and service with fiber and other communications products that they have enjoyed with wireless products. KBC customers who are accustomed to highly flexible, reliable and proven fiber products will experience the same with MiniLink wireless products.
The company plans to build on the success of the two groups within security, intelligent transport, site management and industrial control markets, extending its reach Throughout the world.
KBC’s product range, which includes the ASFOM series (a range of products that allows customers to choose the exact mix and type of signals), will now add MicroTek’s MiniLink® series of products to its portfolio. The MiniLink® series offers securely encrypted, wireless transmission products for applications where it is not practical or costefficient to run cables. So, whether the transmission medium is fiber optic or wireless, KBC Networks is now able to provide the transmission products to suit. The complete KBC range is fully ruggedized, making the products suitable for the most severe environments,and it is backed by a comprehensive warranty.
